The Holy Triduum invites us not merely to remember these events, but to enter into them. Through the sacraments — especially the Eucharist — we participate in Christ’s saving death and Resurrection and receive the grace that flows from them.

The Resurrection reminds us that the Church is not called simply to maintain what already exists. Rather, we are sent into the world with a mission. Before ascending to the Father, the risen Christ entrusted His disciples with a clear command: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” This command remains at the heart of the Church’s life today. The message entrusted to St. Faustina gradually spread throughout the Church and the world. One of its most important promoters was Pope St. John Paul II, who had a deep personal devotion to Divine Mercy from his youth in Poland. In 2000, he canonized St. Faustina and established the Sunday after Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday for the universal Church, recognizing the profound spiritual importance of the message of mercy for our time.

The empty tomb was the sign they needed to begin their journeys of faith in the Resurrection, to believe it was true—death is not the final chapter of human life.

This year, our student population has over 90 kids who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation over the coming weeks of the Easter Season.
