The Respect Life Ministry at St. Mark’s Catholic Community in Boise will host True Colors: A Party with Purpose, an art and wine festival, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17.

Attendees will enjoy wine and charcuterie as they peruse artwork in the silent auction and join a panel discussion on the facts surrounding Idaho’s Proposition 1, which will be decided in the Nov. 3 midterm election.

Keynote speaker Megan Wold, an attorney, focuses on constitutional litigation and administrative law. Experts in the field will be available for discussion, including Emily Naugle, President of Right to Life Idaho; Lili Pirc, Associate Attorney for the Idaho Family Policy Center (IFPC); Caleb Pirc, General Counsel and Director of IFPC Legal Center and Jeffrey Cowman, certified Natural Family Planning instructor.

“We are really hoping that people will come hungry for knowledge and have conversations of consequence,” said event organizer Debbie Baerlocher. “So if you have a question, if you have a thought, if you've heard something out in the community, we really want you to be able to ask somebody who has some knowledge in that.”

Baerlocher added, “The whole point is to build community. That way you can see you're not alone in this thought — because I'm sure sometimes it feels like that — and have good conversations.”

Tickets are available on the website respectlifeministry.org for $30 each and should be purchased by Oct. 14. Charcuterie, wine and non-alcoholic beverages like sodas and infused waters will be served. Adults only.
