Pope Francis Memorial Mass

On Wednesday April 23, 2025, the Diocese of Boise gathered at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist to celebrate a special Memorial Mass for Pope Francis. Bishop Peter Christensen presided over the liturgy, joined by priests from across the diocese in a powerful display of unity and prayer. The cathedral was filled with faithful who came to honor the life, ministry, and enduring impact of the Holy Father. Together, we offered thanksgiving for his service to the Church and entrusted him to the mercy and love of our Lord.
